We are all feeling the pinch of the current economic downturn. The real estate industry has obviously taken a big hit, and those of us who earn our living from it have not remain unscathed. To be honest, we actually considered not holding the Little Miracles auction this year. We wanted to be sensitive to tightened spending on everyone’s part. However after a marathon meeting, much reflection and constructive debate, one fact could not be ignored.
The need remains as great as ever!
This year, Seattle Children’s Hospital will have parents unable to pay for their child’s treatment. There will be families who will rely on the cumulative funds raised at individual events like ours to offset or fully fund their child’s care. This year Seattle Children’s hospital expects to fund one hundred million dollars in uncompensated care.
How can we not try?
We hope you will join us; either through a donation of your product/service, or by attending our Dinner Auction April 24. We don’t have dreams of grandeur, just the passion to take action and the knowledge that any amount raised will help make a difference in the life of a child.
